My name is Sara Mohan. Born and raised Calgarian, but dipped to Vancouver for 4 years. I am a 27 year old Journalism graduate with a mostly failed career writing about hardcore bands. I have terrible grammar, need to read more, and have seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer in it's entirety probably 12 or 13 times. My favorite podcast is "That's Spooky" with Jonny and Tyler.

I like staying up late, drinking a lot, and the adrenaline of being scared. It's the only thing that makes me feel alive. I have been reading Stephen King novels since I was sick years old and maybe that's where it all went wrong. I begged my parents to let me watch Silence of the Lambs when I was about 8 or 9, and they would only let me if I read Thomas Harris' novel. Not a short read, not an easy read. But it was worth it to see that movie.

Ever since them I have been basically obsessed with any spooky. I'm don't have much of a taste for classics or many B-movies. But I am always open to try something. I particularly enjoy shock-factor, slashers, and paranormal movies. But I have been known to enjoy a good supernatural or alien movie. If the movie is well done, I never say no, but I don't usually enjoy what most people are enjoying. 

So that's why I started this blog. I wanted to grab all my pals together from all different kinds of backgrounds to give their opinion on spooky, give some recommendations, and tell you what to avoid wasting hours of your life on.
